Hi all.  I’m Rich, and joined Sold on Soul in late 2022.  

I started playing guitar at 13, and haven’t put it down since.  My early years saw time in Pop Punk and Ska bands, before heading off to uni to specialise in session and live performance.

During my early 20s, I was fortunate enough to be part of an acoustic duo – My Last Mistake.  We signed with Universal Music, and spent time in America and Canada, performing and recording with award winning producers and artists.  It was with this band that I started developing my love of soul music, and it’s only grown since.

The rest of my performance history is varied; pop, blues and metal original bands, live and studio sessions around the UK, and several wedding bands.  

After some time away from guitar, thanks to nerve damage in my arm, and as I’ve grown older (not yet 40, but not far off), the life of not know exactly where and when your next gig will be wore thin.  Wanting something steady, local and enjoyable, I’ve been lucky enough to join Sold on Soul.  They have welcomed me, and pushed me to better myself as a musician.
